News, things that inspire us and other general musings.
Team Revel has had a lifelong love affair with the Isle of Man TT. Our Co-Founders grew up on the Island, attending the races since before they could walk; family members have been involved in the racing teams; Revel is headquartered in Douglas, minutes from the Grand Stand. Simply put, we’re fans.
The delegate surveys are in, the post-event reports are done and dusted, and we’ve just about managed to catch our breath! It's hard to believe we are a full month on from ISLEXPO 2018. As we look back at the Isle of Man’s largest and most well-attended business event, we can’t help but throw up a hearty fist pump(!) in celebration of what came to be during this conference-festival hybrid focused on location, economic growth and real-time connection.
A staple in the Isle of Man events calendar, ISLEXPO has become an annual event ear-marked for real-time connection and vibrant inspiration for anyone looking to start or grow a business. Positive feedback over the past two years sees ISLEXPO 2018 once again take shape as an action-packed day (and night) for the business minded to fill-up on the latest insights from global thought leaders and entrepreneurs making waves on the Island, to Government representatives, fund managers, angel investors and more. Revel, the organisers of the event since ISLEXPO began in 2016, produce quite the programme each year, finding a perfect blend of local know-how and global expertise.
Today is Earth Day - the largest global civic observance which has been going for 48 years. This year Earth Day is all about plastics, a subject which has (thankfully) become a hot topic as of late. Big shifts in daily habits must take place across the board and Team Revel is determined to be part of the change, both personally and as professionals working within the events industry.
Gone are the days of sponsors throwing money to rights holders purely as a badging exercise. Now it is all about cleverly linking unique experiences to the sponsoring brand to create optimum, memorable engagement. Simple logo plastering is out. Authenticity is the name of the game.
Excitement is mounting for this week's adventure to International Confex and Event Production Show. Our preparation has ramped up over the past few weeks with Revel Strategy Consultant Sophie Blake leading the way. (For that we are eternally grateful!) To make the most out of our time in the Grand Hall, we have put together a conference strategy using the following tips on how to make the most of large-scale events.
We are excited to announce that Revel has officially been selected to produce the 3rd annual ISLEXPO taking place at the Villa Marina in Douglas, Isle of Man on 16 May 2018. We have produced the event each year since it’s inception - and it feels great to get started on lucky number three! For those unfamiliar with the magnificence that is ISLEXPO, please allow us to boast - just a little.
Revel is entering its third glorious year of business as a boutique events and brand campaign agency, and it’s time to celebrate! (As if we needed an excuse to #revelintheexperience). The past two years have been filled with unique events, enriching experiences and a world of genuine connection that we can’t help but revel in. To honour the good times and our growing events company, we’ve overhauled the Revel brand bringing it up to speed with our rich levels of revelry. Wrapped in our fabulous new brand, we are broadening our horizons and working with clients across the UK and further afield. Intercontinental revelry, anyone?
Yes, we know that might sound a bit rude…but it’s not what you think! This year, as part of Isle of Architecture, Revel hosted a series of one-off performances in some unusual and sometimes unloved buildings. We wanted to share our enthusiasm for these special spaces and help people to reconsider how we use our historic buildings.
